3v3 BattleBall Rules
STARTING THE GAME
1.1. A coin flip shall determine which team gets the first possession. The team that wins the coin flip can either choose to benefit from possession of the ball at the beginning of the game OR at the beginning of a potential overtime.
1.2. The team on offense will begin the game by checking in the ball at the top of the arc. The game clock will start when the defensive players checks the ball into play by returning it to the offensive player.
SCORING
2.1. Every shot from inside the arc during regular game play shall be awarded 1 point.
2.2. Every shot from outside the arc during regular game play shall be awarded 2 points.
2.3. 1v1 Faceoffs: There will be no free throws. In the event of a shooting foul (or non-shooting foul during the bonus situation), the offensive player fouled will have a 1v1 faceoff with the defensive player who committed the foul. In the 1v1 faceoff, the offensive player will check in the ball at the top of the arc and will only be granted 3 dribbles before a shot attempt must be taken (there must be at least 1 dribble before the shot is taken).
• Non-bonus situation: If the shot attempt goes in, it is worth 1 point regardless of where the shot is taken from. The offense then retains possession of the ball and checks the ball in at the top of the arc.
• Bonus situation: If the shot attempt goes in, it is worth 2 points regardless of where the shot is taken from. The offense then retains possession of the ball and checks the ball in at the top of the arc.
2.4. Shots converted through a shooting foul (And 1's) count, and the converted shot automatically receives 1 additional bonus point.
2.5. The first team to score 21 or more points straight up before the end of regular playing time wins the game.
2.6. If the score is tied at the end of regular playing time, an overtime shall be played. There shall be an interval of 1 minute before the overtime starts. The first team to score 2 points in the overtime wins the game.
POSSESSION
3.1. Following each successful field goal, a player from a non-scoring team shall resume the game by dribbling or passing the ball from inside the court directly underneath the basket (not from behind the end line) to a place on the court behind the arc.
• The defensive player is not allowed to play for the ball in the “restricted semi-circle area” underneath the basket.
3.2. Following each unsuccessful field goal, if the offensive player rebounds the ball, he may continue to attempt to score without returning the ball behind the arc.
• If the defensive player rebounds the ball, he must return the ball behind the arc (by passing or dribbling).
3.3. If the defensive team steals or blocks the ball, it must return the ball behind the arc (by passing or dribbling).
3.4. A player is considered to be “behind the arc” when neither of his feet is inside or on the arc line.
3.5. Possession of the ball given to either team following any dead ball situation shall start/resume with a checkball behind the arc at the top of the playing court.
3.6. In the event of a jump ball situation, the game shall be resumed with a checkball for the last defensive team.
GAME CLOCK
4.1. The regular playing time shall be 1 period of 10 minutes.
4.2. The game clock shall only be stopped during timeouts. The game clock shall be restarted when the ball is checked back in to play by the defensive team.
FOULS
5.1. If a foul is committed on a player in the act of shooting, then the offensive player fouled will engage in a 1v1 faceoff (as outlined previously) against the defensive player that committed the foul.
5.2. If a foul is committed on a player in a non-shooting act prior to the bonus, then the player fouled (or a teammate of the player fouled) will check the ball in at the top of the arc.
5.1. If a foul is committed on a player in a non-shooting act once the bonus situation is in effect, then the player fouled will engage in a 1v1 faceoff (as outlined previously) against the defensive player that committed the foul.
5.3. A team is in the bonus situation once the 6th foul has been committed against them.
5.4 Players are not excluded from game play based on the number of personal fouls.
5.5. Technical fouls, including unsportsmanlike and intentional fouls, are counted as 2 fouls for team fouls purposes.
5.6. Technical fouls, including unsportsmanlike and intentional fouls, result in the offended team receiving 1 free point and possession of the ball.
OTHER VIOLATIONS
6.1. Stalling or failing to play actively (i.e. not attempting to score) by the team on offense shall be a violation. The first violation results in a warning. The second violation results in change of possession.
SUBSTITUTIONS
7.1. Both teams are entitled to substitute players when the ball becomes dead prior to a check-ball or free throw, or during a timeout.
7.2. The substitute can enter the game without any prior notice to the officials while the ball is dead. The substitutions can only take place behind the endline (back court out-of-bounds line)

1v1 King of the Court Rules
-
All shots count as 1 point, and games are played straight up to 10 points when there are 5 or less players, or straight up to 7 points when there are 6 or more players.
-
The offensive player must begin their possession behind the top of the 3-point line.
-
The ball must be checked in by the defensive player before the possession can begin.
-
The offensive player may only dribble a maximum of 3 times before a shot attempt must be taken.
-
The offensive player must dribble at least 1 time before attempting a shot.
-
If the offensive player scores, then that player stays on offense and the next person in line comes in to play defense.
-
If the offensive player does not score, then their turn is over and the defensive player takes over possession on offense.
-
The defender may not touch the ball until after the first dribble is taken by the offensive player.
-
If a foul is called on the defensive player by the ref, then the defensive player’s turn is over and they must return to the end of the line.
-
If the defensive player knocks the ball away from the offensive player during a dribble, or knocks the ball loose from the offensive players hands after the offensive player has stopped dribbling, then that is considered a turnover and the defensive player takes possession on offense.
