Below are answers to some of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) pertaining to JamFest...

  • Q: When and where is JamFest 2026?

    • ​​A: The JamFest event will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026 in Sandy, Utah (Sandy Promenade, 10011 Centennial Pkwy, Sandy, UT 84070).

  • Q: Are the JamFest basketball tournament games played indoors or outdoors?

    • ​​A: For JamFest 2026, all adult and youth division games will be played outdoors (streetball-style)​​

​

  • Q: When will the tournament schedule be released?

    • ​​A: The tournament schedule will be available 2-3 days prior to the start of the tournament.

​

  • Q: Does JamFest provide jerseys or uniforms for the participants?

    • A: No, JamFest does not provide jerseys or uniforms for the participants.

​​

  • Q: Are participants required to wear jerseys or uniforms to play in JamFest?​​

    • A: While participating teams can choose to wear their own matching jerseys or uniforms, JamFest does not require it. Participants can wear any standard/traditional athletic apparel to play in.

  • Q: How many games are guaranteed in the basketball tournament?​​

    • A: There is a 3 game guarantee. 

​

  • Q: How do I add / remove players from my roster after I register?​​

    • A: You do not need to notify JamFest of any roster changes prior to the day of the tournament. You will be able to confirm your final roster when your team arrives at the check-in table prior to your first game.​​

  • Q: When does my team need to check in for the tournament?​​

    • A: Teams must check in AT LEAST 20 minutes prior to their first scheduled game. All team members should be present at check in, and all players will be asked to present the email confirmation received when their liability waiver was signed.

  • Q: What are the rules?​​

    • A: The rules for the JamFest basketball tournament can be found here.

  • Q: What's the difference between the Competitive and Elite divisions for adults?​​

    • A: If an adult team has two or more players who have played college, semi-pro, and/or pro basketball, then that team must play in the Elite division. If a men's adult team has two or more players who are 6'5" tall or taller (or 5'10" or taller for women), then that team must play in the Elite division. If an adult team has one player with college/pro experience and another player who is 6'5" or taller (or 5'10" or taller for women), then that team must also play in the Elite division. All other teams are welcome to play in the Competitive divisions.

  • Q: What about refunds?

    • A: A 100% refund is available up until 7/31/2026 for any teams wishing to withdraw from the tournament. A 50% refund is available for teams that withdraw between 8/1/2026 and 8/15/2026. There is no refund available after 8/15/2026.

In the event that JamFest 2026 is cancelled (or if your specific 3v3 division is cancelled) for any reason, refunds will issued shortly after the notice of cancellation is sent out.

  • Q: What happens if there is bad weather?​​

    • A: JamFest reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, delay, suspend, modify, or cancel the tournament and/or associated contests, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to weather conditions, safety concerns, facility issues, low participation, acts of God, governmental actions, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond the control of tournament organizers. 

    • By registering for the tournament and/or associated contests, all participants, teams, coaches, and spectators acknowledge and agree that tournament dates, times, locations, formats, and schedules are subject to change without prior notice. JamFest shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, damages, or losses incurred as a result of any such changes, postponements, rescheduling. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund will be granted to the paying participants.

  • Q: Is there an entry fee for spectators?​​

    • A: No. At this time all spectators receive free entry into the JamFest event.

​

  • Q: Can spectators bring their own chairs and canopies?​​

    • A: Yes, foldable camping chairs are recommended, and portable canopies up to 10'x10' are permitted so long as they do not obstruct the court view for other spectators.
